Spiritual side of hard times

As human life progesses, we come accross the situations which are tough and difficult to sail through. It seems that everything is block. One is isolated.

Astrologically, the planets connected with 6-8-12, weak in strength and afflicted by the lords of the mentioned houses, either in their dasa (planetary period) or transit in the zodiac give the hard times to a person.

As human, it is very natural to react and feel negative in it.

An understanding of the phenomenon which works behind it, if understod, will bring the agony of the moment down and acceptance of the moment prevails.

The houses mentioned above are considered to be the malific houses in one's horoscope. But, if one understands, these houses are associated with some hard lessons unlearned in our journey so far.

Example:

6H shows the diseases, hard work, loans etc. The period of planets associated with this house will bring problems in the stated areas. If one has an attitude for good health practices, planning for the finances and following the laws of the land, will have lesser effect of these aspects. This house shows the importance of self restraint in every aspect of our life.

8H shows the obstructions in physical way. If taken deep, it only shows one's areas of improvement and self realization. It asks to leave the stuborn nature and be more flexible.

12H shows expenses and conspiracies. If taken deep, it asks one to see the things in more wider way and realizing self by the eyes of God...that is why it is a house of moksha.

The more one is spiritually inclined, less destruction happens in hard times. The hard planetary periods are only there to give us time to take a halt for a moment (mentally) and think on what it is asking one to adopt, the more self realization happens, the more beneficial the period becomes.

In such hard times, Prayer to God, Preceptor, and adhering to the spiritual practice one follows, it may be even some religious ritual, gives excellent protection.

A tough situation is just like a bad weather, which you can not change but, a precaution/preventive/protection, does help to bring down the effects till that time lasts.

It is my self experience that, in the hard period which prevailed in last two years and still continuing, the spiritual journey accelerated which has made me calm to face the moment with my mind and body in sync.

Have a week full of self awareness and acceptance, ahead...

Baby Steps...

How often do we notice the way we treat ourselves in every moment? Do we need to revisit our relationship with ourselves? These   thoughts   were revealed to me in     “self healing” session.                 Few weeks back, I was healing my most knotty issue which is related to my career.   My friends know about the step I took few years back regarding my career and surprised everyone. The good part was, my entire family did not question for a single time on my next move as if everybody was so confident about my thoughts and skills. Three years have passed and I am heading on the path I chose with full determination though the road is rough and tough. As a human, I am also having emotions which often pull me down. I feel sometimes that I am blocked . Even though I am having skills but, not applying it in optimum way or, let’s say the minimum required quantum of work is missing. This self analysis burdens me with a heavy weight of guilt on my heart and numbs me. I

Misconceptions in Astrology: MANGLIK DOSHA

As an astro counsellor, generally I hear some quotes from the people about certain yogas (planetary combinations) and planets, which are percieved to be dangerous and, even life threatening. Examples: Manglik dos h a (a combination formed by the placement of Mars [Mangal] in the natal chart). It is believed that, it can create havoc in the married life of a person. Shani (Saturn) is refered as a dangerous planet by the common people and even most of the astrologers. Shani's mahadasa, Shani 's sade-saati, Shani Dhayiya etc are the terms which rob the night's sleep of a person once told about them. Rahu-Ketu are the planets which also fall in the same catagory of creating terror in the mind of a common man. Birth in Moola nakshtra is another hyped yoga about it's inauspiciousness. This list is long. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- In this article, I am

You forget yourself

Have we ever thought that, our own success can teach us principles of being successful? Read this article... SUCCESS is a buzz word in today's fast track world. We are running since morning till night in search of success. Lot of pages have been written on this most important ingredient of our self esteem. Lot many philosophies and ideologies revolve round this but, the truth is, success is having different definitions for all of us in different situations of our life. I read a book recently where the writer pointed out the important point; We succeed in every moment . Even rising live in the morning and getting to bed again after facing the entire day is the success. So, success is not having a fixed definition. It varies. In childhood, getting that win in street game was the success and, scoring first division in class tenth got to another level of success. Getting a good job, married to a loving partner, starting a family and...th
